Amnesty at Massey

Amnesty at Massey is a society for people who are passionate about the human rights of all individuals. As a uni group we do as much as we can to raise awareness of the various human rights violations occurring throughout the world, as well as those occurring right under our noses. Activities are designed to raise awareness and support of the plight of those who cannot help themselves. We write letters to governments on behalf of prisoners of conscience. We run awareness campaigns on concourse seeking signatures for petitions and write letters to heads of states and others who hold the power to change abuses around the world. We fundraise through bake sales and sizzles, as well as running vigils, an annual Human Rights Film Festival and a freedom charity run.
