Ju Jitsu

Ju Jitsu, as practiced at MUJJ, develops a practitioner's abilities to achieve a successful outcome in the arena of self-defence, combat or sports. It is a powerful, practical and modern combat system derived from Japan's feudal samurai warrior class's battlefield system. Lessons are of a traditional, disciplined and physical nature taught by experienced instructors. Lessons progress from movement drills through demonstration, explanation, and practice of techniques, wrestling/sparring/drilling to stretching. The syllabus includes punching & kicking, elbow & knee strikes, throws & takedowns, ground-wrestling, choking & joint dislocating, stick & knife fighting, multiple opponent/team combat tactics, law and ethics.
