Show your support for Palmy's student population by displaying a Student City discount sticker in your store or business. Offering a student discount is a great way to boost your business and we'll even list your deal on the Student City site for free!
To list your student discount and receive your own Student City discount sticker simply email info@studentcity.net.nz and provide the following details:
- Your name
- The name of your store or business
- Your postal address
- The physical location of your store or business
- Your student deal e.g. $2.50 regular coffees for students on Thursdays
- Your phone number

BACKGROUNDER
The overall goal of the Student City brand since its inception in 2003 has been to: Position Palmerston North as students' preferred destination for tertiary study.
Some of its many successes include the provision of free public transport for Massey and UCOL staff and students and Student City events such as Student Arts Week and Student City Day.
The refreshed Student City brand was launched in 2011 and is based around the concept of Student City as a team.
This concept recognises the value of students, but also encompasses businesses and members of the wider Palmerston North community, whose support is integral in attracting, nurturing and maintaining the city's student population.
Businesses are encouraged to contact Student City coordinators with details of their student discounts so these may be listed for free on the Student City website.
Student City discount stickers are also being provided, enabling businesses to clearly communicate their discounts or deals and show their support for Palmerston North's students.
Coach Dan is the fictional character responsible for rallying students and the Palmerston North community together in support of higher learning.
Through his humourous motivational speeches, facebook posts and attendance at Student City events, he communicates the message that Palmy is the ultimate tertiary education destination.
